Inaugural Pink Players Day 7th December 2020
2020 is the year for doing things differently. The Pink Ladies Day fundraiser event which has been a regular feature of our December calendar for more than 15 years is no exception. This year the event will transform to meet the times under the banner of ‘Pink Players Day’ and all members and guests are welcome to join in.
Pink Players Day is a day for all members and visitors to take some simple steps to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). BCNA does crucial work to support the sufferers of Breast Cancer (both male and female) and their families, and it is a cause that 13th Beach has a proud history of supporting.
Both courses will be open for Pink Players Day on Monday 7th December. We are simply asking members and visitors to book in to golf as you normally would, but on the day, to make a donation to BCNA. When you check in before your round, golf operations staff will confirm if you would like to donate, and the amount you would like to give. Tax receipts will be available.
You will be competing as you usually would for handicap and competition prizes, run as normal by golf operations and the club committee. There will be no special event prizes this year, but there will be some raffles and fun activities to help you and your playing partners get into the spirit of the day.
We are excited for you to join in the first 13th Beach Pink Players Day! We hope you will embrace the new concept by pulling some pink out of your wardrobe, perhaps inviting a guest to play with you on the alternate course, and generally supporting the cause. We hope to see both courses full and pinked to the hilt!
