While playing our 2 Championship courses is likely to be the core purpose of your stay at 13th Beach Golf Lodges, there are plenty of other activities and attractions for you to enjoy and experience.

Surf Beach

13th Beach is a famous surf beach, and is where the name of our golf complex derives. The stretch of beach extends several kilometres from Barwon Heads to Breamlea. It is one of Victoria’s most consistent beach breaks and a very popular spot. It may be accessed by the beach path which starts at the Clubhouse and meanders through the Beach Course for about 1km to a secure entry/exit point. Going for a beach walk, a cycle along 13th Beach Road and the surrounding areas or a surf, it is a beautiful place to spend time at and all from the private access at your doorstep. If you are serious about your surfing, the world famous Bell’s Beach and home to the Rip Curl Pro is 30 minutes drive from 13th Beach.

If tennis is your thing, we have you covered. A 2 minute stroll from the Golf Lodges will see you arrive at two tennis courts. To enquire about their use and make a booking, please contact the Clubhouse reception.

The Bellarine Peninsula is well known for its wineries with several wonderful options to explore all within a 30 minute drive. You may visit Oakdene Estate, Scotchmans HillTerindah Estate, Bellarine Estate and many more. Each has a Cellar Door to sample their range of wines or take the time to have lunch and soak up the experience.

Whisky or Gin lover? You must visit The Whiskery where local whiskey and gin is hand crafted.

The Bellarine Rail Trail

Starting in South Geelong and extending to Queenscliff through the Bellarine Peninsula is the Bellarine Rail Trail which may be walked or cycled. A steam train operates between Queenscliff and Drysdale and whether you are walking, cycling or traveling by train, excellent views over Swan Bay and the surrounding countryside makes this an ideal excursion.

Getting Around

If you don’t have transport when you are staying at 13th Beach Golf Lodges, then local transport company Wave Rider Shuttles is the ideal way to get around the sights of the Bellarine Peninsula. They offer a door to door service, airport shuttles and can assist with events and tours.
